Standing at 8 ft 11 in / 2.72 meters tall, American Robert Wadlow is the tallest person in history. Wadlow was born on February 22, 1918 in Alton, a small town in Western Illinois. Therefore, he is also known as the "Alton Giant" and the "Illinois Giant". Wadlow became a nationwide craze in the United States. Unfortunately, his height also comes with limited mobility. Wadlow needs braces to walk and has very inhibited sensations in his feet and legs.

On July 15, 1940, Wadlow died after a public event he was invited to attend in Manistee, Michigan. The cause of death was an ankle infection caused by a faulty shirt brace. He is only 22 years old.

Rogan's father was a slave freed from Northern Tennessee. Until the age of 13, Rogan's physical development was normal and there were no abnormalities. But not long after his 13th birthday, his body began to grow abnormally fast. At the age of 14, he could no longer walk or even stand because of an ankle disease caused by the rapid growth of his skeleton. As a full-grown adult, Rogan was offered a number of jobs at festivals and so-called freak shows, but turned them all down. Instead, he works as a painter. In September 1905 Rogan died of complications from ankle disease. He is 37 years old.

His rapid growth began after a necessary brain surgery he underwent at the age of 13. The surgery caused the growth of a brain tumor that released an abnormal amount of growth hormone. Thankfully, the tumor was not ultimately lethal, but it did cause Stadnyk to grow unusually fast. However, on August 24, 2014, Stadnyk finally died from a sudden brain hemorrhage. He is 44 years old.

Her parents took her to festivals, where people would pay to meet Trijntje Keever, who was known as "De Groote Meid" ("Big Girl") in the Netherlands and later all over Europe. Even foreign royalty like Frederick the V., King of Bohemia, visited Keever. However, her famous life was cut short due to cancer. Trijntje Keever died on July 2, 1633. She was only 17 years old.
